About Me
Living life at 150% is just built into me, and I actually thrive on it! That drive has taken me to some amazing places and helped me chase the things I care about but I also know that if my body and nervous system don’t get the care they need, it can catch up. I believe it is possible to do all of the things, so long as you give yourself the right kind of support.
I know that may sound a little unexpected from a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner but actually, it’s exactly why Chinese Medicine is so important to me. To me, it’s about bringing what’s not aligned back into balance, and developing greater mind body awareness. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine philosophy are tools that bring me back to centre when life pulls me that little bit sideways.
I spent years in corporate life with early mornings, travelling, running events and chasing deadlines. I loved the energy and creativity of my job, but I also really felt what it’s like to live out of alignment too, to push past my limits and to ignore the signs my body was sending me.
Movement has always been my anchor. I enjoy all kinds of movement especially running and I’ve been teaching yoga and Pilates for years. These practises aren’t just physical to me, they help rebalance my mind, process emotions and feel at home in my body. I also understand how easy it is to overdo it when we’re chasing those mental and emotional benefits, and how that can leave energy running low. Finding the right balance between movement and recovery is what keeps it all sustainable.
It’s the awareness of my body and energy that became even more important when life reminded me that I can’t always control the outcomes. Fertility challenges and the transition to motherhood and parenting all came with lessons in care, patience and learning to be gentle with myself.
These lessons are at the heart of what I do. I hope my treatments can help you reconnect with your body in times of physical, mental or emotional stress, rebuild energy and find balance so that you can keep doing the things you love, feeling strong and supported along the way.
